The Master Plan

Disclaimer: All future development scenarios depicted in this 3D Visualization tool are illustrative, not prescriptive. They aim to show one model of development that would implement the vision of the Dundas Connects Master Plan. Other models are possible. The depiction of any future land use at a particular site should not be construed as endorsement by the City of Mississauga of such land use, nor as evidence of the City’s disfavour of other land uses consistent with the Master Plan that might be proposed. With respect to the Dixie Focus Area, please note that development of this Focus Area is constrained by the Natural Hazard Areas and Special Policy Areas (SPAs) that cover a significant portion of lands within the Focus Area. Both of these policy designations are designed to prohibit development that would exacerbate risk to life and property resulting from flooding associated with the Little Etobicoke Creek. The City of Mississauga is currently undertaking initiatives exploring the potential to modify the extent of lands covered by the Natural Hazard Areas and SPA designations. The depictions within this 3D Visualization tool for the Dixie Focus Area are predicated on the successful implementation of these initiatives.
